Lindsay is a highly qualified Speech and Language Therapist who has experience in assessing and treating a wide range of childhood speech and language delays and disorders.
Having worked in South Africa, Scotland and England, Lindsay has experience in a number of settings including community-based clinics, hospitals, and both primary and secondary mainstream and special schools. She has also worked with preschool children with complex needs.
Lindsay has experience in providing both individual and group therapy. She is also proficient in providing ‘whole school approach’ training programmes for teaching and nursery staff.
Lindsay treats a number of childhood speech and language conditions:
Speech sound delays and disorders
Language delays and disorders including Specific Language disorder
Social communication disorders including Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Lindsay is trained in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) for children with complex needs.
Phonological awareness and auditory processing skills
Developmental delays
