Nicole is a qualified Occupational Therapist, specialising in Paediatrics with a focus on Sensory Integration techniques. She has worked in both public and private practices and schools and has as a wealth of experience in treating mainstream and special needs children, in both South Africa and the UK(including within the NHS).
Nicole works with children who experience a wide range of challenges that hinder their ability to progress in their expected developmental milestones. She uses traditional clinical techniques combined with advanced Sensory Integration techniques and lifestyle recommendations, incorporating diet and other stimuli.
Nicole believes strongly that occupational therapy is most effective when she can work together with parents to extend it into to daily life. She therefore invites parents into certain parts of therapy and creates opportunities for meaningful discussions. This develops a greater understanding and gives greater benefits for both parents and their children.
In her personal life, Nicole is a wife and mother to a 9 year-old boy, who is the apple of her eye. She is an avid fitness and health advocate and incorporates strength and conditioning training into her gym regiments and follows a strict diet to maintain an optimal condition. In her professional life, this enables her to do a wider range of more difficult physical treatment regimens when required.
Nicole offers Saturday appointments.

About occupational therapy
Occupational therapy (OT) is science degree-based and takes a “whole-person approach” to both mental and physical health and well-being. It enables individuals to achieve their full potential. In today’s highly competitive world, OT is an essential mechanism for parents to position their children as best as they can so that they are enabled and equipped to be as successful as possible. When children achieve, they gain confidence.
Nicole embraces a continuous learning approach, attending many training courses and conferences including:
- Sensory Processing Disorder.
- Sign language.
- Autism conferences.
- Learning Difficulties.
- Therapeutic listening.
- Social and emotional development.
- Using interactive Metronome.
- Cranial-sacral therapy.
- Multi-sensory learning approaches.
- Therapeutic listening.
- Equine therapy.
Nicole is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as an Occupational Therapist.
