Easter is here: 5 ways to spend quality time with the kids

Easter holidays are nearly here and it’s a great excuse to spend some quality time with the kids and have some special family fun. Here’s our top five picks for local Easter events in South West London.

  1. Easter fun at Battersea Park Zoo

There’s lots of Easter fun to be had at the zoo this year, including an Easter egg hunt with a difference, as you search for brightly coloured Easter eggs hidden in the animal enclosures. Running over Easter weekend, this is great way to learn about nature and have fun at the same time. Tuesday 29 March is also Rabbit Day, when you can encourage their love of reading with special rabbit storytime sessions, Easter arts and crafts and lots of rabbit-themed fun.

2. Head to an Easter party at Eddie Catz in Earlsfield

Wandsworth NCT is holding its Easter party at Eddie Katz in Earlsfield on Thursday 24 March. Little ones will enjoy party games, an Easter egg hunt, buffet lunch and a visit from Eddie Catz.

3. Paint an egg cup at the Pottery Café in Battersea

What a great way to have some messy play and and make gorgeous Easter gifts. Throughout March the café is running March Madness, a special offer of 3 for 2 on egg cups.

4. Go on an giant duck hunt at WWT London Wetland Centre

Some little ducklings have gone missing, can you help find them? Follow the Easter duck trail around the Wetland Centre nature reserve to discover where they are hiding. Plus, you can make your own LEGO brick duckling to take home. This event runs from 25 March – 10 April.


5. Meet the Easter Bunny at Orleans House Gallery, Richmond

On Saturday 26 March the Easter Bunny returns for his annual visit to Orleans House Gallery. Come and join in the Easter fun, take part in an Easter art activity and help catch the Easter Bunny in the woods. See all Easter holiday activities at Orleans House.
