Laura is a qualified Occupational Therapist who specialises in working with children and young people. Laura has experience using the Sensory Integration Frame of Reference in her intervention and treatment sessions.

Laura has gained experience across the NHS and independent sectors, treating and supporting children and their families in schools, clinics and their homes.
Laura has worked in South Africa at a Children’s Foster Home for Orphan and Vulnerable Children, treating children aged 6 months-18 years, with a variety of conditions. Laura further worked in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in the independent sectors, focusing on young people with Asperger’s Syndrome and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Laura has a passion for supporting children to reach their potential and find happiness through independence in their daily activities and tasks. Laura believes in treating an individual with a client centred and holistic approach to ensure their specific needs, goals and wishes are achieved.
Laura believes therapy should be fun, as a child’s primary occupation is play. A child learns the majority of their fundamental skills through play
How can Laura help?
Laura can help by assessing and providing treatment to children presenting with difficulties in physical development (fine and gross motor skills), sensory processing difficulties, attention deficits, visual motor or perceptual challenges, learning and difficulty in day-to-day activities. Laura also assesses and offers treatment to children with a known diagnosis.
Laura is happy to support a child at home or at school, along with their family to achieve their maximum potential. Laura is available for clinic appointment; home visits and school visits on a Monday, as well as providing home programs to be completed with the family. Laura believes in the importance of a team approach, and therefore drives for collaboration with the child’s family, teachers and therapists.
Laura is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as an Occupational Therapist.
