Sophie Sidney (née Latanowski) – Speech & Language Therapist

Sophie is experienced in working with pre-school and school-aged children across a variety of settings including clinics, nurseries and schools, and has worked in both NHS and private practice.

What Sophie can help with

Experienced in providing assessment and therapy for a large range of language, speech sound, fluency and social communication difficulties, Sophie delivers one-to-one therapy and also runs small groups for children with speech sound and language difficulties.

Sophie recognises the importance of joint working with parents and teachers, and liaises closely with them to provide advice and strategies to develop and support children’s communication skills in all environments. She has carried out training sessions for teaching staff and developed numerous school/home programmes.


Sophie’s certified training includes:

  • The Lidcombe Programme of Early Stuttering Intervention

  • Workshops on Parent-Child Interaction, Cued Articulation

  • Nuffield Dyspraxia training – a widely used programme to manage Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia / Childhood Apraxia of Speech and other severe speech disorders.
