Playing with ‘SSSS’ Group
Does your child present with a lisp e.g. if your child’s tongue is between their teeth when saying the ‘S’ sound, this may cause the ‘S’ to sound like a ‘TH’ sound.
Who are the groups for?
Children of all ages presenting with a lisp.
This is a beneficial way to target the production of ‘S’ in a fun and play-based way.
When will the group run?
29th October - 2nd November 2018 (5 days total)

This group will take place in our Putney and Tooting clinics, addresses:

This group will run for 30 minutes daily, it is essential that parents carry out speech practice activities at home alongside these sessions to generalise this skill. There will be a workbook provided for each child to help with home-practice.
It is not compulsory that parents attend the group with their child.
What will the group entail?
This group will target:
Auditory Discrimination between ‘s’ and ‘th’
Teach correct tongue placement for ‘s’
Improving your child’s ability to use the correct ‘s’ at the beginning of words, in the middle of words and at the end of words
Using their new ‘s’ sound in single words, phrase, sentences and conversation.
Our aim is to provide a fun & individual
learning experience for each child.
Groups will be kept to a maximum of 3 children per group and will be led
by one of our experienced Speech and Language Therapists.
How much will this group cost?
£30 per session/£150 for the week.
